Testimonials
Here at House of Play we believe that the products and services we offer are second to none, but don't just take our word for it, why not see what our customers have to say...
For me, House of Play did everything but what was most useful was them negotiating terms for the lease of my selected property and doing my planning application which was approved first time around. I would never have got the project off the ground had I had to do this myself. I could have paid consultants but what was the point, House of Play did all of this as part of their service!
We also used most of their recommended suppliers with whom they have negotiated great discounts and we even used one of their recommended builders saving us loads of cash and the hassle of finding a good Company to do the leasehold improvements.
House of Play truly offers a unique service and their play equipment is fantastic. Using them was really a bit of a 'no brainer'!
There are a couple of Companies that supply decent play equipment and we tested House of Plays design and price for competitiveness and they were spot on. Their 'Business in a Box' service is brilliant so we got great kit at a competitive price AND all of their expertise thrown in. Fantastic Company!
When we were thinking about setting up a play centre we literally trawled the market and really, there are not many Companies with a good enough track record who have been trading long enough that I would have trusted my money to. We checked Companies House 'webcheck' service to check up on Companies we found and decided that if they had not been trading for at least ten years we would discount them... that meant most of them! After all, we intend to run our play centre for at least ten years and want to be sure that our supplier will still be around!
Also, we found that a couple of the Companies sent a 'rep' out to see us. What a waste of time that was. All they wanted to do was sell us equipment and all we wanted was expert advice on how to get the project going. House of Play do not employ 'reps' so you will never be hassled or harried by someone trying to convince you that their 'bash bags' are the best!
The best move I ever made was going to see them at their training centre 'Astrabound' in Doncaster. This proved to me that they really do know what they are talking about.
The overall service that House of Play offers is simply one based on expertise. I found that the financial advice was invaluable and the support offered by one of their directors who is actually a chartered accountant was fantastic. When I presented my business plan to the bank my bank manager, he said it was the best business plan he had ever seen. I am absolutely convinced that this was why I was offered my business loan and why I got such a great interest rate.
It is difficult to see why anyone would ever go anywhere else. They have expertise on every single facet of developing and running a successful play centre and it is all available as you want it at no cost. All you pay for is the play equipment which is excellent and no more expensive than any other supplier of equivalent product.
When I started doing research I found that every single Company claimed to be the market leader! How do you pick the right Company? I even looked at what appeared to be a comparison website but looking deeper I felt that they were not truly representing the market. House of Play has certainly not joined in this. The only way to pick the right Company is to do the research yourself. This is what we did and we are really pleased that we made the effort to go and see House of Play. It is no good having salesman visiting you, they know nothing about surmounting the finance, building, planning, operational barriers to setting up a play centre. We learned very quickly that we do not make money from the play equipment but from the business itself and it has to be set up right. This is where House of Play has unique expertise.
They are extremely professional as well. One of their competitors actually advised us not to go and see House of Play at their fantastic training centre in Doncaster called 'Astrabound' because we would be asked to sign a contract committing us to buy equipment from them…..a pretty lame attempt at a frightening tactic! We went anyway and found the day extremely useful. No wonder their competitor tried to dissuade us from going. Once you have seen how brilliant their service is you are hooked AND, nothing about signing up or committing to anything! House of Play never once even mentioned any competitor and would not be drawn to comment either. Now that's what I call professional.
Don't listen to anyone talking about their competition. Go and see for yourself!
We decided some years ago to open a play centre and at that time we were talking to three play equipment providers. Having looked at a number of sites, House of Play was the only Company to actually advise against us pursuing premises that we thought were ok. The other Companies never ever tried to talk us out of taking any of the premises that we looked at.
At first we found this very frustrating but of course, eventually, we realised that House of Play were offering genuine advice whilst the other Companies just wanted to sell us equipment. Once we realised that House of Play were giving us proper, professional advice we stuck with them and they were great throughout the building conversion process. Since we opened we have asked for and continually got ongoing advice on marketing and operational issues and nothing is too much trouble for them and they do not charge for this.
Note: we never told House of play but we got the other two Companies we were originally talking to, to provide a price against the same specification and both were more expensive than House of Play………..not by much but it did prove to us that House of Play are the market leader and whilst they have some competition for supplying the play equipment they have no competition that comes anywhere near their 'Business in a Box' service.
