Playmaster Support
For existing facilities which offer other premium services such as leisure, sport and fitness based centres, House of Play have developed their 'Playmaster Support' package which offers an equivalent service to the 'Business in a Box' service but excludes the site acquisition process and offers the opportunity to tap into an additional service, 'Playmaster Mentoring'.
The 'Playmaster Support' package is specifically tailored for application to those clients that already own/manage an existing facilities, sports and leisure centres, fitness centres, tennis centres, indoor football centres, theme parks.
House of Play has been supplying soft adventure play equipment to this market for nearly twenty years. In the mid to late 1990's this type of venue tended to install soft adventure play equipment in a quiet unused part of their site; we must have installed over one hundred single and double squash court conversions during this period. This market saw play as an opportunity to increase the service provision of their sites; the profit motive was fairly weak!
At this time the private sector tended to operate from smallish buildings, 3000 – 6000 square feet, BUT, in the early 2000's the boom in property prices and the resultant available equity in private properties enabled the development of larger scale private play centres which wholly dwarfed the play provision on offer from most other venues.
Now, of course, the current economic climate has created a serious opportunity for sports and leisure centres, fitness centres, tennis centres, indoor football centres, etc. to look at play as a 'bona fide' cost/profit centre and challenge the private sector whose growth is stalling with the lack of available funding.
Scale, however, is all important.
